Miriam Katherine Mcdonald was born in Oakville, Ontario, Canada on July 26, 1987. Miriam is the youngest of two, her sister's name being Esther who gave Miriam the, what is now worldly known, nickname "Billy." At the age of ten, Miriam and her family moved to Downtown Toronto where she lived until the age of eighteen. In those years, Miriam pursued dancing being an accomplish dancer in ballet, hip hop, tap, and jazz dancing. Miriam was awarded a scholarship at the prestigious Canadian Children's Dance Theatre located in Toronto. However, Miriam chose to pursue acting and soon began auditioning for roles until she made a break through as Emma Nelson on the Canadian hit television series "Degrassi: The Next Generation." After seven years of playing Emma, Miriam has decided to continue for an eighth season while even starring in a multiple Lifetime movies such as: She's Too Young, Devil's Diary, and her new upcoming movie Poison Ivy 4: Secret Society.

Miriam is currently residing in Los Angeles, California living with friends.
